Our First Principal’s Coffee is tomorrow (Friday the 14th). Join Principal Tonya King 8-8:30am in the library.
These are monthly informal meetings with Ms. King. First one is open discussion; the following months will be topic specific.
Custodian Appreciation Week is ending tomorrow. Find a custodian to thank before the weekend! They work hard!
Trojan Spirit Fest is Saturday the 15th, from 5-8pm, Anderson High School Campus. This event builds unity and school spirit within the Anderson community, including our feeder schools. Booths will sell food or promotional items or sponsor fun activities like ring toss or face painting. AHS Band, Cheer, Leadership Council and other student leaders will participate. Event likely to occur on the south side of the school with an outdoor pep rally.
Join Scouting – Monday the 17th, 6-7:30pm, in the cafeteria. Join Cubmaster Paul Slutes to learn all about joining the Cub Scouts. Parents please plan to stay. Questions? Email firstname.lastname@example.org
Back to School Night – Tuesday the18th 5:30pm (drinks and pizza available for purchase); 6:00pm event begins. Come join the fun and learn about our school, purchase t-shirts, adopt a staff member and more!
Playground Paint Day – Saturday the 22nd, meet at 8:30am and work until done! Come help Ms. Mikulencak transform the playground using stencils. Contact her at email@example.com if you can help!
Bring-your-Dad-to-School Day! – All Pillow Dads are invited Friday the 28th to eat breakfast and stay through first period to experience what the students do every morning. Coffee and pastries will be provided. Join us for this peek into the daily activities of your children!
Fall Fundraiser is going on now! Please talk to your family, friends, and coworkers and help raise money for our teachers, field trips, clubs, and other projects that make our school great! You can also make or ask for cash donations (penguin incentives will be given for donations as well, 1 penguin per $10 donation after it is received).
Orders are due 9/18. Extra packets are in the office.
Marathon Kids Kick-Off is Saturday the 29th at UT's Mike Myers Stadium (9:00 AM) for those that register for Marathon Kids. Look for the registration form in your child’s take-home folder soon.

Thursday, September 20th - Chuck E Cheese - 3pm- 9pm; We receive 15% of sales. Chuck E Cheese will make an appearance at Pillow from 2:30-3pm approx, teachers eat free if they show their school ID.
